Royal Brunei Airlines celebrated the successful launch of its daily non-stop London Heathrow-Brunei service, following the inaugural flight on 28 October 2018.

Operated with one of Royal Brunei’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners that features lower cabin altitude, low noise and less turbulence and this helps to reduce jet lag for our guests. Royal Brunei’s award-winning inflight services, coupled with 1,000 entertainment options at every seat has been designed to ensure our guest needs are met. Royal Brunei’s new service is also a one-stop journey to Melbourne, providing new options for travellers wanting to visit the land down under. The flight time for the non-stop London-Brunei route is 13.6 hours, and the London-Brunei-Melbourne journey is 22.2 hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 24.3 hours on other days. The departure times will be standardised ex London Heathrow as soon as practical.

Royal Brunei’s CEO, Karam Chand, says:

“This has been a very significant day for the UK and for Asia. Tourism to Brunei is at a record high, and the start of our non-stop flights will help increase this even further as well as position Royal Brunei Airlines as the go-to carrier for South East Asian travel.  Our daily evening departures from Heathrow are timed to allow guests to maximise time spent in the destination, with an afternoon/evening arrival. Passengers connecting to Melbourne then just have a seven-hour flight from Brunei, departing daily at 19:20 Brunei local time and arriving at 05:20 local time in Melbourne.”
Adiel Mambara, Country Manager UK & Ireland adds:

“Our one-stop flight to Melbourne makes us a major player in the UK-Australia market. In fact, Royal Brunei’s Melbourne-Brunei-London Heathrow flight is the shortest possible route, with a great-circle distance measurement of 100%, the most direct possible routing of all the other well-known stopover points from the UK to Asia Pacific.”
